Snow has the ability to short-circuit my brain. Whenever there is a big fall, I can't help smiling stupidly and, if I can, manage to get covered in it... So after the
storm of last Monday, just after sunset, I went to the small hill just outside my building and spent the best part of an hour taking random photos of snow, trees covered in snow, rocks covered in snow, ponds covered in snow and whatever stuff I could find covered in snow (oh, and also some snow, I think).
For this one, I used the SB-600 flash out of camera, setting it directly to the left of the tree. After some experimentations, I concluded that the best light stand would be myself, and ended up having to trigger the camera with the self-timer, run five meters to the tree and wait for the flash. Which managed to get me nicely covered in snow in no time. Mission accomplished!
J'adore cette photo. Entre neige et lumière...
